Street Photographer captures the moment a couple kisses in the park

Darlene Hildebrandt, Managing Editor of the Digital Photography School web site and owner of Digital Photo Mentor, presents this class exclusively focused on the specialty of street photography.

During the class you will learn how the genre of street photography has come to mean a lot more than just taking a picture in a public space. Instead, it is a way of documenting the beauty and journey of the human experience.

Darlene will help you to get out of your comfort zone and into the world around you with the ultimate goal being to document your personal experience on the street through your photography.

Through a series of classroom lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, Darlene will help you learn to comfortably and safely photograph in public places to create dynamic and compelling images.

This street photography class is only offered twice a year.

The Street Photography class with Darlene explained the when and how of getting permission to shoot people was important – gave you opportunities to have to do that by working only with Wide Angle lenses, forcing one to become up close and personal with your subject. One gained a much better understanding on which camera settings work best in that environment and how to be ready, not trying to adjust too much on the fly – all in all a fun time with a good group – Brian H
