We would like to thank everyone who took the time to stop by the booth and chat for a minute or just to say hi. We love it when someone new is considering taking one of our classes and a past-student is standing by and jumps in with an in-person testimonial. What could possibly be better! Thanks a bunch!
We’ve had a lot of our classes sell out so far this fall, but there are a few coming up in the next few weeks that still have some spots available. Macro Photography, Wedding Photography and Studio Lighting all have spots available so if one of those areas of photography interests you, please register soon!.
Macro Photography Class
If you have an interest in macro photography, this next weekend, November 16-17, is for you.
The first day of this two-day class is all about learning about creativity, macro photography equipment, macro specialties (everything from oil & water to insects and everything in-between) and demonstrations. On the second day, we turn you loose to photograph the entire day. This is a shoot and critique class so you’ll visit one of our macro photography stations, have time to make some photographs and then receive direct feedback on the images you’ve created. You’ll then move to the next station and repeat until the end of the day rolls around.
During this class you’ll get the opportunity to try your hand at water droplet photography and focus stacking techniques among many others.
Want to read what a previous student thought about this class? Here’s what Dave R. had to say:
“I have attended several courses at other venues, and this, by far, was the best. We were able to put into practice immediately, and get feedback…immediately about what was good, and what was not so good. The pace was perfect and the instructor extremely knowledgeable.”
If you would like to register for the class or if you’re interested in finding out more information on this class, please visit our Macro Photography class web page.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this class was rescheduled from its original September weekend until the weekend of November 23-24.

The first snow fall of the year occurred over the first weekend in November. I’m just glad the snow held off that long! We’re at least two weeks better off compared to last year.
Although I’ve come to have a great appreciation for snow, my aging bones really do appreciate the more moderate temperatures of spring, summer and fall.
We really appreciate the opportunity to help you enhance your photography skills and we look forward to seeing you at one of our classes or workshops in the near future. Thank you, as always, for your ongoing patronage and valuable feedback regarding our classes. As usual, we’re selling gift certificates for our classes. If you’re thinking of starting your holiday shopping and think someone you know may appreciate one, please see the info in the left column.
Owner – BSOP
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.”
