Lens Alignment Registration

Many newer cameras have the ability to fine tune how the camera focuses. That ability is called Autofocus Micro Adjustment. Prior to this innovation, if your camera couldn’t quite focus correctly with a given lens your only option was to bundle the camera and lens together and send it to the manufacturer to see if they could make the pair work better together.   Unfortunately, many photographers found that their lenses needed adjustment.

Fortunately, for many newer camera owners, it is now possible to make these adjustments ourselves and store them in the camera’s firmware (software inside the camera) . You just need the right tools for the job.

We have the right tools for the job and we are putting on an event on Saturday February 11th and Saturday, February 18th where you can book some time and bring your camera and up to three lenses and have us help you fine tune the autofocus on your camera.

The introductory cost for this service is $65 plus GST and can make a huge improvement in your finished photographs. You’ve probably spent a small fortune on your camera and lenses and most people will find it worthwhile to fix any sort of front focusing (the camera focuses in front of where it should be) or back focusing (the camera focusing behind where it should be) issues.

What’s Included in the Edmonton Lens Alignment Event?

• We’ll spend up to 1 hour of time to get up to three (3) of your lens focusing as perfectly as possible

What should you bring to the Edmonton Lens Alignment Event?

• Your camera that is Autofocus Micro Adjustment capable (see table above for compatibility)
• A tripod capable of supporting your camera with its heaviest lens
• A USB drive to take home before and after pictures of your camera’s autofocus performance
